Spiral Gadgets digs through gadgets, PC parts and desk gear: comparing specs, prices and what real owners report, then saying plainly what is worth buying. When we have used something ourselves, we say so.

Spiral is small and independent: no ad agency, no sponsored posts, no press-release rewrites. Want to suggest a gadget or a build? Get in touch.

How we pick

  1. Start with the question

    What are people actually trying to do: shoot a string across a room, build a PC for $500, make a desk look good? The job decides what matters, and what does not.

  2. Gather every option

    We line up the realistic choices and compare the things that decide it: size, power, batteries, refills, what fits what, and what it really costs to keep using.

  3. Read the long-term reviews

    Owner reviews, forums and teardowns, with the focus on what breaks after a month. One glowing review means nothing; a pattern of complaints means a lot.

  4. Say what we know, and how

    When we have used something ourselves, we say so and show our own photos. When a pick is based on research, we say that too. We never pretend research was testing.

  5. Keep it current

    Products change and better ones come out. When an article needs an update, we update it and change the date.
